iPhone 15 Pro Comparison With iPhone 16 Pro
Apple's new iPhone has attracted much attention, and the current iPhone 14 Pro is still a powerful flagship machine that occupies an important position in the mobile phone circle.
The iPhone 14 Pro's top-level performance, good battery life, and upgraded camera make it a beloved mobile phone for many users.
As an upgraded iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 15 Pro's buttons have been a hot topic, from solid state and switching the mute switch to an action button, to cancelling the plan and reverting to the same mechanical buttons as similar mechanical buttons on the iPhone 14 and so on.
We have the clearest indication that the latter is true, based on sources from Apple suppliers. Don't expect solid buttons on the next iPhone.
Cirrus Logic, known for creating products like the Taptic Engine, has been touted as the company working on these solid-state buttons, reporting that these were axed in favour of more traditional older mechanical options — the reason being put down to "mass-production previous technical issues". We may see them used on the iPhone 16 Pro in 2024.
I'll be honest, I've always been a little confused by all the clamour about the iPhone's buttons. I know its benefits, but full coverage from mechanical to solid state seems like overkill.
However, we're likely to see a more interesting button-based change, as the ring/silent switch looks set to be replaced by an action button like you'd see on the Apple Watch Ultra. Getting something more contextual and customizable could be a big step forward in terms of iPhone usability.
